Final project in a textiles/screen printing class exploring the novelty print- combining fabric field dyeing techniques for the background, a middle ground of the designer's choosing, and a novelty print foreground with border.

Inspired by eyes I hand-sketched a pattern of my favorites, converted them into vector format, cleaned up the edges, and burned the design onto a screen. The border of disjointed text provides clean and geometric contrast to the less precise sketched style and design of the eyes. The color scheme is meant to be loud and contrast nicely with the black and cream pigment dye designs printed atop the fiber reactive background.
